Walking is cool and all, but flying is better and cyubeVR has a secret flying mode that will let you soar above its world, so in this short guide, we’ll teach you how to fly in cyubeVR.

cyubeVR has a secret flying mode that the game does not tell players about. Whether this is by design, or because the secret flying mode is a mistake is not known. But it’s there and makes traversing the endless world of cyubeVR a little more interesting. So, how do you fly in cyubeVR?

It’s actually quite easy to fly in cyubeVR for PSVR 2. There are no complicated button combos or secret codes in menus. All you need is your magic bucket. Yes, your magic bucket can be ridden to fly through the skies.

The magic bucket is the game’s tool for collecting items that you’ve mined, or for finishing off a crafted creation. But it’s also got another neat trick at the bottom of its wooden barrel in that it lets you fly.

Here’s how to use the magic bucket to fly in cyubeVR.

  1. Mine any three blocks from within the world. It doesn’t matter if they are dirt, wood, stone, etc. The main thing is that you need at least three.
  2. Once you have three blocks, stack them one on top of the other.
  3. Using your right hand, push forward on the analog stick to activate teleportation mode, and then aim at the top of the three bricks you’ve placed.
  4. Using the X button on your right controller, bring out your magic bucket.
  5. Bring the bucket down below where your head is, so it is just out of view beneath you.
  6. Keep holding the X button and then using the left analog stick, move forward, and voila! You’re now flying!

For this to work, you need to be at least three blocks off the ground. If you fly forward and the ground beneath you is reduced to two blocks or less, you’ll drop down and resume walking.

Moving around is simple enough with the left stick as you can go forward, backward, left, and right, but turning is a little trickier as you need to keep your thumb on the X button to stay in the air. One solution, which isn’t very elegant at all but it works, is to simply use your left hand to nudge the right analog stick when you want to turn left or right.

You can change your flying height with some fast thumbwork, though you’ll need to be quick otherwise you’ll be hitting the floor. To fly higher, simply double-tap the X button, and on the second tap, make sure to keep holding the X button so that you stay flying. Every double tap of the X button takes you a little higher.

While it’s not quite as robust as say Minecraft’s flying mode, it’s something at least, and very useful if you find yourself stuck at the bottom of a deep, dark cave, or simply want to go over a large mountain instead of trekking around it.
